Hobbs – Director
Greg Hobbs began his career in the recruitment arena in 2001 as a Recruitment
Consultant for the Mining, Engineering and Drafting division for
a Perth Recruitment Company.
After gaining experience in the hire of both contract and permanent
labour for the mining area, Greg decided it was time to pursue his
own business venture.
With his hands on approach to recruitment and customer service, Greg
has grown and continues to grow a loyal client base within the mining
industry specialising in the area of Fixed Plant Processing and Maintenance.
With an extensive mining background spanning over 12 years, Greg’s
experience in the industry comes from a variety of positions held ranging
from Process Technician, Day Foreman to Process Shift Supervisor.
During his career Greg has worked innately within the Gold Mining area,
holding senior positions with Bronzewing Mine site and McMahons Nifty
Mine Site, as well as working at numerous sites including, St Barbara’s,
Great Victoria Gold, Corktree Well, Ashton, Newmont, Duketon, Harbour
Lights and Craigiemore Mine Site all in various capacities.
Having the mining and recruitment history has enabled Greg to bring
to the table the expertise, training and education required to provide
a professional service to clientele looking for mining personnel.

Michael Feeley – Project Management
Michael Feeley has been an employee of Red Dirt Personnel since
2003, where he was employed on a contract basis to the various
mine sites
as a Maintenance Supervisor. Michael’s role was turned into
a permanent position becoming a Red Dirt Staff member in 2004.
Michael has been a qualified Fitter & Turner by trade since
1975, with numerous certificates pertaining to the Mining Industry.
With wide spread mining experience, Michael has worked at various
sites including: Gindalbie Gold – Minjar Gold Project, Giants
Reef Gold Mine, Newmont Bronzewing, Yilgarn Star Gold Mine and
Range River Gold.
As a Maintenance Supervisor, Michael has been involved in the commissioning
of new treatment plant facilities, preventative maintenance systems,
writing procedure manuals, plant upgrades and the planning of major
mill, crusher and power station shutdowns.
Michael’s main role at Red Dirt Personnel is as Manager of
the Project Division.
The Project Division within Red Dirt Personnel to date has been
involved in:
- Plant construction
- Installation of Plant Upgrades and Supervision
- Supervision of Planned
Specified Maintenance Work for current Processing Plants; and
- Assisting
with Commissioning and Decommissioning of Processing Plants.

Bryan Kennelly – Recruitment Consultant
As an original staff member, Bryan commenced
in 2002, showing his
loyalty and longevity to the Company in which he was the
sole employee.
Bryan has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Majoring in Economics)
and Cert IV Micro Computer Technology.
Having started in the mining industry in 1991 as a Drillers
Offsider, Bryan moved on to become a Process Technician and
then Shift Supervisor
with Mount Pleasant Gold Mine and then moved onto Bronzewing
acquiring numerous forklift, loader, bobcat and safety tickets
along the
way.
Liaising with Management, supervision of shift members, training
of new staff and report writing are amongst a vast variety of
competencies which have enabled Bryan to make the move into mining
recruitment
with ease.
Starting his recruitment career in 2001, Bryan was responsible
for looking after the mining and IT divisions with a Perth based
Recruitment
Company.
Looking after placements for contract work in the areas of Fitters,
Boilermakers, TA’s, Labourers, Process Technicians, Electricians,
Lab Technicians, Drillers and General Maintenance to name a few,
Bryan ensures all positions are filled at the
highest quality for all placements through Red Dirt Personnel.

Greg Jones - Recruitment Consultant
With a background spanning over 23 years in the mining industry,
Greg has seen the changes from Forsyth Mining Services, Plutonic
Resources to Homestake and now what is known as Barrick Gold of Australia spending 16 years working at Lawlers Gold Mine.
Having held positions across the board to become the Mill Superintendent
for 7 years at Barrick Gold, Greg has worked his way through the
ranks from a Process Technician, to a Gold Room & Mill Foreman.
Prior to his 16 year stay with Barrick Gold, Greg started out his
mining career with Western Mining as a Process Technician responsible
for the ball mill operation in both gold and nickel treatment sections,
continuing on as a Process Technician at Gold Resources – Paringa
Gold Mine, for a further 3 years.
In 2003, Greg decided to undertake a Perth based role within the
mining industry with Imdex Minerals. As the Operations Manager,
Greg was in charge of maintaining the safe and cost effective production
and operation of all aspects of the mineral processing plant facilities.
With a thorough understanding of mining, a recruitment position
was offered to Greg as the Client Services Manager – Mining
at a Perth recruitment company.
With a wealth of experience within the resources industry, Greg
came to Red Dirt Personnel in 2005 as a Recruitment Consultant.
As part of the recruitment team in charge of permanent and contract
labour, Greg can provide valuable insight for both the client and
contractor in managing the expectations of working with the mining
field.

Justin Hobbs - Recruitment Consultant
Justin joined Red Dirt in 2009, bringing with him a diverse range of skills including over 8 years experience in the Mining Industry.
Starting out at Argyle Diamond Mine in the maintenance area, Justin completed his Carpentry Apprenticeship in 1994. After completing his apprenticeship, Justin went to work for Bronzewing Gold Mine and Jundee Gold Mine in Maintenance and as a Field Assistant.
During his 5 years at Bronzewing, Justin moved into the underground field holding positions such as: UG Survey Assistant, UG Drillers Offsider, UG Charge Up Crew, UG Service Crew and UG Backfill Operator.
In 2001 Justin decided to head back to Perth to use his trade skills and set up his own Roofing Contracting Company. Running a successful business for over 4 years Justin was presented with an opportunity to again diversify into yet another arena, as an Estimator.
Justin held the position of Estimator with Trustek until 2009 when the company was closed.
It is this experience that Justin draws upon to provide the best service to all Red Dirt Clients and Contractors alike.

Nicole Palmer – Payroll/Administration/Marketing
Joining Red Dirt Personnel in 2006, Nicole spent the past 5 years
working for the Fremantle Football Club (Dockers). In her role
at Fremantle, Nicole started within the Finance Division responsible
for the contract payments of the listed players and staff as
well as the accounts for the Company. After 3 years in the role,
Nicole
decided to try her hand as a Sponsorship Executive for the
Club looking after clients Coca-Cola Amatil, Fosters, Rick Hart,
Alinta
and 92.9 making sure all contractual obligations had been fulfilled
and the increase the publics awareness of the sponsors association
with Fremantle Football Club.
Prior to Fremantle, Nicole’s working career included 3 years
in Melbourne and Sydney holding roles with Ansett – Associate
Banking Accountant in Melbourne and Sydney and then at Network Ten – Payroll/Accounts
in Sydney, expanding her knowledge of accounting, marketing and
differing industries.
On moving back to Perth, Nicole regained employment with Argyle
Diamonds (Rio Tinto) at the West Perth Office in the HR/Payroll
Department.
This role was also held prior to moving to the Eastern States,
entailing the inducting and payment of Perth, site and award
employees.
Nicole spent a year in Port Hedland working on contracts for
BHP before moving into an accounting role for Western Deep Hole
Drilling,
Drill Corp and Precious Metals Australia.
As the contact for all administration, workers compensation and payroll enquiries,
Nicole is responsible for the medicals, flights, site forms,
personnel details
and payroll for Red Dirt Personnel contractors.
A new field for Red Dirt Personnel will be the recruitment of
Site Administration, with Nicole as your contact.

Vanessa Wiesenthal – Accounts Manager
Vanessa’s vast experience in the corporate sector has been
invaluable in maintaining the Accounting facet of Red Dirt Personnel.
The extremely high level of commitment, loyalty and accuracy shown
by Vanessa stems from an accounting background spaning 22 years.
Working for Theo’s Liquor Markets over 14 years as the Administration
Manager/National Credit Manager, Vanessa was responsible for supervision
and support of 13 staff, staff recruitment, training, payroll and
the monthly reconciliations for year end procedures to name only
a few areas.
With 2 young children, Vanessa took on various accounting roles over
the next few years on a part time basis working from home.
Along with Bryan, Vanessa started with Greg in 2002 as
the Accounts Manager, working from her Sydney based home. In charge
of Payroll, accounts, superannuation, PAYG and BAS Returns, the role
required a great eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
As part of the team Vanessa keeps her focus on the
strong accounting skills learnt throughout her working career.
Having numerous certificates and qualifications has enabled Vanessa
to maintain an exceptionally high level of commitment for Red Dirt
Personnel, through excellent customer service and business ethics.
Based in Queensland, Vanessa heads the Accounts Department, working
day and night to continue the high level of service offered by Red
Dirt Personnel.
